Making the decision to have a child is momentous. It is to decide forever to have your heart go walking around outside your body.

Designated Driver
The problem with the designated driver program, it’s not a desirable job, but if you ever get sucked into doing it, have fun with it. At the end of the night, drop them off at the wrong house.

8 and 9
Yes, I got had a terrific day yesterday. Got my hair done, nails and toes painted I returned home to get a 3 way call from 2 of my daughters. They both at the same time said "We're pregnant!" I had to sit down. Kimi is due the 27th of September and Kati is due the 26th of September. What are the odds of that happening. I am so excited!

Last Day in Dubai
We are having a good time. Money exchange is not as good here. I am used to $100 USD getting me 4900 Rupees. Then like the last night in Ahmedabad we went out to Little Italy. 7 people ate appetizers and dinner the total bill was $60.00.
In Dubai $100 is only 350 Durhams. Dinner last night for just Bob and I was 467 Durhams. Everything here is alot more expensive. We had a great meal of pork ribs and a filet. Finished with a slice of blueberry cheesecake. We then walked along the shops but there was no way we walked off what we ate.

Dubai
We arrived about noon. After checking into our hotel, we headed to Hard Rock Cafe for lunch. I got the best salad I have ever had. It sure tasted good after 2 months. Bob got a hamburger opps they call them beefburgers here. There is NO pork here. I got brisket. Both tasted really good. We then went to the "Mall of the Emirates". Went to a movie and just walked around, OH YA we also had STARBUCKS coffee.

Intelligence is a natural phenomenon
just as breathing is, just as seeing is. Intelligence is the inner seeing; it is intuitive. It has nothing to do with intellect. Never confuse intellect with intelligence, they are polar opposites. Intellect is of the head; it is taught by others, it is imposed on you. You have to cultivate it. It is borrowed, it is something foreign, it is not inborn. But intelligence is inborn. It is your being, your very nature.

Udaipur
The Queens palace out in the middle of the lake. The Lake Palace is also in the lake and is a 5 star hotel. It is very expensive. The Queens palace has 7 rooms and a very nice restaurant.
After dinner when we were leaving we had a full moon over the Queen's Palace in Udaipur. It made a very romantic boat ride back to the city.

Udaiper
We have been in Udaiper for the last 2 days. We had a REALLY great day yesterday. We went thru the City Palace Museum. Maharana of Mewar It took us 4 hours. It was built in the 15th century. Then had a fabulous lunch at the Palace. We then walked and shopped had a beer at a roof top restaurant. The view is so awesome here that all the restaurants are on the roof. NO elevators. That means climbing 3 and 4 stories to get to the roof top. There is 3 palaces built on the lake. The Lake Palace and the Queens Palace. The Lake Palace is a 5 Star hotel and is REALLY expensive. We took a boat out to the Queens Palace and had dinner. It was very nice and then we came out the FULL moon was shining over the water, it was very impressive.

SHOPPING!
I have been busy buying wedding clothes. We have 3 weddings start 14th Feb, 17th Feb and 19th of Feb. I will have lots of pictures.
I will start with the shoes. We went to Old Ahmedabad yesterday to get some beef. What an experience. So after the experience in which I didn't take my camera. I found this shoe store. Bob, Neal and Matt were waiting on me so I didn't have much time to spend looking.
Now you wont believe the price of these shoes!!
They were 150 Rupees each. Exchange rate today is 49. So the shoes cost me $3.06 USD.
I have GOT TO GO BACK!! Do you know how many shoes I can buy???
I wore the gold shoes last night when we went out to dinner with Chirag, Deepa and Sholak for Deepa's birthday. They were very comfortable and I am hoping that I can dance at one of the weddings in them.

Smile in all languages
"Does your face light up when your kids enter the room?"
This was from Angelo Maya and it is so true. There is the housekeepers "R2" (I don't know how to really spell it and that is what it sounds like.) daughter "Moskanna" (again I am not sure how to spell it). She doesn't speak our language, but we have lite up our faces every she comes in with her mother. Every day she is so glad to see us. Maybe it's the cookies and candy that Bob feeds her, too.

If you leave a tortilla out for a week,
you've got yourself a handy little ice scraper.

Shantaram
I finally got a new book yesterday: Shantaram by Gregory David Roberts
I have only read the first 20 pages out of 933. So it will probably take me a while.
It smells of the stir and sleep and waste of sixty million animals, more than half of them humans and rats. It smells of heartbreak, and the struggle to live, and of the crucial failures and loves that produce our courage. It smells of ten thousand restaurants, five thousand temples, shrines, churches, and mosques, and of a hundred bazaars devoted exclusively to perfumes, spices, incense, and freshly cut flowers......
I have put up a webpage of just a few of Shantaram description of India
